Prince George’s County asks residents’ help during snow removal

WASHINGTON – The Prince George’s County Department of Public Works requests that residents park on the even-numbered sides of residential streets, or in their driveways, to make things easier for snowplows.

They also ask residents to shovel their driveways after plowing, and to remove snow and ice from the sidewalks abutting their houses and businesses.

The department says that 168 trucks have been mobilized to salt and plow roadways.

To report snow conditions on your street, the department asks residents to wait 12 hours after the precipitation has stopped, then call CountyClick at 311 or the Snow Information Center at 301-350-0500. You can also fill out the Snow Request Form at the county’s website.
