Bowie entrepreneur pleads guilty to Medicaid fraud

Tina Jackson-White, the owner and president of a medical equipment company, likely faces more than two years in prison after pleading guilty this week to health care fraud charges, the U.S. Attorney’s Office in D.C. announced.

Jackson-White, of Bowie, billed D.C. Medicaid over five years for $212,893 worth of incontinence products, such as briefs, diapers and liners, which were not actually provided to customers. She pleaded guilty in D.C. Superior Court and has agreed to pay restitution to the Medicaid program.

She will be sentenced July 9. Jackson-White could get up to 10 years in prison, but federal sentencing guidelines call for a range of 24 to 30 months.
