One person dead, two injured in Greenbelt house fire

WASHINGTON – A fire that occurred around 9 p.m. on Friday evening in Greenbelt left one person dead and two injured, according to Prince George’s County Fire Department Chief Spokesperson Mark Brady.

The fire happened in a group of row houses on Laurel Hill Rd. Witnesses report seeing large flames leaping from the roof, several fire trucks on site and a Medivac helicopter on the scene.

Channel 7 reports that the victim is an elderly woman who lived at the home.

There is no word yet on the cause of the fire.
