Prince George’s County schools takes step to find superintendent

WASHINGTON – The search for a new superintendent for Prince George’s County schools has kicked into high gear.

The county’s Board of Education announced Friday evening they have hired Hazard, Young, Attea and Associates to search and screen candidates.

H.Y.A. is the nation’s largest executive search firm for schools. The firm has worked with Prince George’s schools in the past, as well as Montgomery, Frederick and Anne Arundel counties.

Superintendent William Hite resigned as the school system’s chief to work for Philadelphia.
