UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - Police in Prince George's County say a police officer has been charged with driving under the influence after he crashed his cruiser in a single-car accident.
Police say the accident happened at just after 5 a.m. Saturday. Police Officer Daniel Gonzalez was off duty when he crashed at the intersection of Route 1 and Tanglewood Drive.
Gonzalez was charged and released. He is a six-year veteran of the force. Authorities are investigating.
