WASHINGTON - Trekkies are finally getting a taste of what the next "Star Trek" movie will be like.
The teaser trailer for "Star Trek Into Darkness" was released Thursday, but doesn't reveal much.
There is a glimpse of Benedict Cumberbatch - best known for playing Sherlock Holmes in the BBC reboot - as the villain in the new movie. He's rumored to play Khan, a villain from an episode of the original series and 1982's "Wrath of Khan."
However, just as with the last "Star Trek" film, the exact plot and the villain are being held tightly under wraps.

"Star Trek Into Darkness" is scheduled to be in theaters on May 17, 2013.
