‘Soul Jam’ and Beatles love songs for Valentine’s Day

WASHINGTON — There are several Valentine’s Day concerts scheduled for Friday night.

Here are some of the highlights:

The Hamilton Live presents a night of Beatles love songs performed by some of D.C.’s best talent.

Featured performers include Julia Nixon, Vandaveer, Steve and Annie Sidley and David Kitchen.

Check out Vandaveer performing its song “Beat, Beat, My Heart” below.

The Stylistics headline the “Valentine’s Day Soul Jam” at DAR Constitution Hall.

Jazz fans should head to the Carlyle Club in Alexandria for an evening of jazz featuring the Bill Clark Trio. The Carlyle Club’s old-fashioned supper club vibe is perfect for a Valentine’s date.

Storytelling-collective Speakeasy is presenting its 6th annual “Sucker for Love” spoken word event at the 9:30 Club.

The show features new and veteran storytellers weaving tales of love – both heartfelt and humorous.

The early show is sold out, but tickets are available for the 10 p.m. late show.
