LAS VEGAS (AP) -- A man accused of firing a gun during a backstage robbery attempt in the Thunder From Down Under dressing area is due to appear in court Monday with a lawyer, after refusing to make an initial appearance on Friday.
Defense attorney Carl Arnold says he'll be representing Joey Kadmiri at his appearance Monday on felony attempted murder, armed robbery, burglary and weapon charges.
Kadmiri also faces kidnapping, assault with a weapon, coercion and battery charges in a November domestic violence case.
A member of the Australia-themed dance revue was treated for minor facial injuries after the confrontation last Tuesday evening at the Excalibur hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
Kadmiri was hospitalized with facial injuries and a black eye after being subdued by several performers.
