Reports: Piers Morgan’s CNN show to end

Piers Morgan’s primetime show on CNN is reportedly coming to an end.

POLITICO reported on Sunday that CNN president Jeff Zucker is pulling the plug on “Piers Morgan Live” as early as next month, though Morgan may stay with CNN in a different role.

Morgan probably isn’t too surprised; he told The New York Times on Sunday that the show, which began in January 2011 upon Larry King’s retirement, had “run its course.”

The ratings for “Piers Morgan Live” were never high, but according to POLITICO the last few weeks have been the worst for the show, with Tuesday night’s installment drawing 50,000 viewers in the 25-to-54 demographic, the second-lowest of his tenure.
