'Ride Along,' 'Lone Survivor' hold atop box office

NEW YORK (AP) -- In a rare feat, Universal Pictures claimed the top two spots at the box office for the second week in a row.

Holding atop the box office was the Kevin Hart comedy "Ride Along," with $21.3 million over the weekend, according to final numbers Monday. Again in second place was the Navy SEAL tale "Lone Survivor," with $12.9 million in its fifth week. The week's lone new wide-release, the monster thriller "I, Frankenstein" opened poorly with $8.6 million.

The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theaters Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theater locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Rentrak, are:
