WASHINGTON - He's one of just a few people to have won an Oscar, Emmy, Tony and Grammy.

Thursday night, Mel Brooks receives the American Film Institute's Life Achievement Award, joining the likes of James Cagney, Gregory Peck and Elizabeth Taylor.

Martin Scorsese, who was honored in 1997, will present Brooks with the award at a gala tribute in Los Angeles.

The event airs Saturday, June 15, at 9 p.m. on TNT, with an encore presentation Sunday, July 24, at 8 p.m. on Turner Classic Movies.
