INDIANA, Pa. (AP) -- Erik Estrada, who became famous in the TV cop drama "ChiPs", has been scheduled to appear at a western Pennsylvania church screening of a film that warns against child-sex predators on the Internet.
The Indiana Gazette (http://bit.ly/12JF5kL ) says Estrada was set to appear Wednesday night's screening of "Finding Faith" at Hilltop Baptist Church in White Township. That's about 45 miles northeast of Pittsburgh.
Estrada portrays a sheriff who works to find a 14-year-old boy who is abducted after striking up an online friendship with someone the boy believes is also a teen.
Estrada is a celebrity spokesman for the Safe Surfin' Foundation, based in Bedford County, Va., which tries to raise awareness of web-based crimes against children. Liberty University helped the foundation make the film, which is being shown mostly at Baptist churches in a national tour.
