WASHINGTON – Frank Sinatra’s former penthouse apartment on New York City’s Upper East Side goes on the market next week.

If those walls could talk.

Broker Jason Haber tells WTOP the co-op has a storied past, and is a bargain today at $7.7 million.

“We heard stories from neighbors that Marilyn Monroe was there, President Kennedy had been there at some point,” Haber says.

The duplex with two wraparound terraces was the site of legendary Rat Pack bashes.

“Apparently Sammy Davis, Jr. used to enjoy throwing champagne glasses off the balcony, and they would land on the FDR Drive,” says Haber.

Haber’s Rubicon Property will put the former Sinatra home up for sale next week.

“We’re taking photos and doing the floor plan now. No one’s living in it now. The contractor’s finishing up some minor touches, but the apartment is ready to go.”

Sinatra lived in the apartment when he met and married Mia Farrow.

He sold it in 1972.

“When the current owner bought it, the apartment was, frankly, in the condition it was when Sinatra lived there. It was very dated. It needed a complete renovation.”

Haber says Sinatra helped design the four-bedroom, six-bathroom apartment in 1961.

“The room Sinatra used to use as his party room, that’s been turned into the master bedroom. It’s got 18-foot ceilings, with huge panes of glass that run almost floor to ceiling,” Haber says.

All of the rooms overlook the East River.

“Some of the most amazing views you will see in all of New York,” according to Haber.
