LEWISBURG, Pa. (AP) - Bryson Johnson scored a season-high 20 points while Mike Muscala added 11 points and matched his career best of 19 rebounds to help Patriot League leader Bucknell defeat Navy 69-54 Saturday night for its third straight win.
Johnson hit four of his six 3-pointers as the Bison (19-4, 6-1) took a 21-8 lead. Bucknell expanded its lead to 16 before taking a 34-22 cushion into halftime.
The Bison led by as many as 24 after the break and had a 47-20 rebounding advantage for the game.
Bucknell outshot the Midshipmen 46.9 percent (23 of 49) to 31.7 percent (19 of 60).
The Bison committed 21 turnovers, leading to 25 Navy points, while the Midshipmen had only eight miscues.
Kevin Alter scored 15 points and Worth Smith and Brandon Venturini added 11 apiece to pace Navy (7-16, 1-6), which has lost four in a row and 10 of its past 11.
