Locals in London: Follow up on 2012 Paralympics

WASHINGTON – The 2012 Paralympics in London are over and the medals awarded. So how did our Locals in London do?

Kari Miller, Washington, D.C., sitting volleyball

Miller and her team scored a silver medal, losing only to China – a team that’s won every gold medal since women’s sitting volleyball was introduced in 2004.

Rob Jones, Lovettsville, Va., rowing

Jones came away from the Games with a bronze medal in the mixed double sculls event.

Clark Rachfal Annapolis, Md., tandem cyclist

There weren’t any medals for Rachfal this time around.

Jessica Long, Baltimore, Md., swimming

Long had an impressive haul from the 2012 Paralympics. She takes home five gold, two silver and a bronze.
