Hofstra hires ex-UConn athletic director

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (AP) - Jeffrey A. Hathaway has been hired as the athletic director at Hofstra.
Hathaway is the former athletic director at Connecticut and the outgoing chairman of the NCAA Division I men's basketball committee.
Hofstra President Stuart Rabinowitz made the announcement Tuesday. Hathaway signed a five-year agreement and will begin his duties in June.
Acting athletic director Danny McCabe will remain as the executive associate athletic director.
