A Garrett Park restaurant from a well-known local restaurant group is celebrating it’s 10-year anniversary with a special throwback menu featuring the most popular dishes served over the last decade.

Black Market Bistro (4600 Waverly Ave.) is one of a number of local spots from the Black Restaurant Group, helmed by operator Jeff Black and his wife Barbara and Jon Linck. The group also owns Black’s Bar & Kitchen (7750 Woodmont Ave.) and use to own Addie’s on Rockville Pike before closing last year. Black Restaurant Group opened Republic in Takoma Park late last year.

Black Market Bistro will celebrate the anniversary on Sept. 24. The three-course special menu ($55 with an optional $20 wine pairing) will include butternut squash, tomato lemongrass, fried calamari, pan-seared rainbow trout and grilled strip steak.

Chefs and managers who helped open the place in 2004 will be back for the evening. Guests get goodie bags (with some free menu items for future visits).
