On Tuesday, Sept. 9, the White Flint Downtown Advisory Committee will meet at 8 a.m. at the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center (5701 Marinelli Rd.) and pick up discussions on a beautification program for the area and a website to market and promote the district’s businesses and new development.

On Friday, Sept. 13 at 8 a.m., the Woodmont Triangle Action Group will discuss new development proposals in Woodmont Triangle.

On the agenda is a proposal by Douglas Development for a 14-story, roughly 130-unit apartment building at 8008 Wisconsin Ave. The group will also hear about the Lot 667 proposal to reconstruct and upgrade some commercial properties on St Elmo and Fairmont avenues, plus the 16-story, roughly 210-unit apartment proposed at 4922 St Elmo Ave.

The meeting will happen at the Bethesda-Chevy Chase Regional Services Center (4805 Edgemoor Lane).

That will also be the setting for the Monday, Sept. 15 meeting of the Western Montgomery County Citizens Advisory Board, set for 7 p.m.

On the agenda is a discussion of the Fire & Rescue Master Plan, Pepco’s proposed merger with Exelon and a proposal to install parking meters in Friendship Heights.

All meetings are open to the public.
