Police are investigating the second robbery of a Woodmont Triangle bank in less than a year.

At about 1:52 p.m. on Thursday, police responded to the M&T Bank branch at 7920 Norfolk Ave. for the report of a bank robbery.

Police said a male suspect entered the bank, approached the teller, made threats and demanded money. The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled from the bank. He did not show a weapon, police said.

On Monday, police released surveillance photos of the suspect.

Anyone with information regarding the identity of the suspect involved in this bank robbery is asked to contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477) or leave a Crime Solvers tip here. Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect. Tipsters will remain anonymous.

The bank was also robbed on Dec. 26. The suspect in that robbery has since been arrested and linked to three other area bank robberies.
