Weekly Crime Report: May 12 to May 20

This week’s crime report leads off with an attempted carjacking in North Bethesda:

An attempted carjacking occurred in the 11600 block of Nebel Street in North Bethesda on Tuesday, 5/20 at approximately 11:45 p.m.

Arrested: Male, age 23, from Rockville 

There was also a commercial burglary and attempted commercial burglary reported in Woodmont Triangle:

A commercial burglary occurred at Safelight Auto Glass, 7841 Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda overnight between Tuesday, 5/13 and Wednesday, 5/14. No forced entry; property taken.

An attempted commercial burglary occurred at Frame Avenue, 4919 Cordell Avenue in Bethesda on Friday, 5/16 at approximately 2:30 a.m. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 7600 block of Curtis Street in Chevy Chase on Saturday, 5/17 at approximately 10:20 p.m. No forced entry; property taken.

A sexual assault occurred in the 4700 block of Creek Shore Drive in North Bethesda on Wednesday, 5/14 at 10:10 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.

Arrested: Male, age 31, from North Bethesda

A residential burglary occurred in the 10200 block of Fleming Avenue in Bethesda on Friday, 5/16 between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A sexual assault occurred in the 11800 block of Old Georgetown Road in Bethesda on Wednesday, 5/7 at approximately 3:30 p.m. The suspect is known to the victim.

A theft occurred in the 11800 block of Rockville Pike in Rockville sometime over the weekend between Friday, 5/16 and Monday, 5/19. Property was taken from a building under construction.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5000 block of Brookdale Road in Bethesda on Thursday, 5/15 between 6:45 a.m. and 11:35 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 5000 block of Park Place in Bethesda on Monday, 5/19 between 1:30 p.m. and 2:40 p.m. No forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 6000 block of Tilden Lane in Rockville between 6:30 p.m. on Friday, 5/16 and 12:20 a.m. on Saturday, 5/17. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 6200 block of Tilden Lane in Rockville on Saturday, 5/17 between 9:00 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

Two thefts from vehicles occurred in the 7100 block of Democracy Boulevard in Bethesda on Thursday, 5/15 at 1:45 p.m. Entry was forced; property was taken.
