Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services personnel are on the scene of a Monday afternoon gas line leak in Chevy Chase Village.
MCFRS was called to the scene, at Brookville Road and East Melrose Street at about 1:30 p.m.
Construction crews struck an eight-inch gas line, according to scanner traffic.
MCFRS personnel are evacuating some homes around the struck gas line as a precaution.
