Weekly Crime Report: March 17 to March 25

This week’s crime report includes a string of stolen auto part incidents in the Grosvenor area and a ditched home burglary that ended in a police foot chase through downtown Bethesda:

Four thefts from vehicles occurred overnight between Wednesday, 3/19 and Thursday, 3/20. Incidents occurred on King Charles Way, Brewer House Road and Barbados Place. Vehicle parts taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 4200 block of East West Highway in Chevy Chase on Thursday, 3/20 at approximately 11:30 a.m. Attempted entry; nothing taken.

Arrested: Male, age 20, from Washington DC

A commercial burglary occurred at the Mobil Gas located at 5054 River Road in Bethesda on Sunday, 3/23 at 4:40 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A commercial burglary occurred at the Exxon located at 6100 MacArthur Boulevard in Potomac on Sunday, 3/23 at 5:18 a.m. Forced entry; property taken.

A theft from a construction site occurred in the 5400 block of Albia Road in Bethesda on Thursday, 3/18 at approximately 7:00 p.m.

A theft from vehicle occurred on Walton Road and Melvern Drive in Bethesda overnight between Thursday, 3/20 and Friday, 3/21. Vehicles were left unlocked; loose cash was taken.

An aggravated assault occurred in the 8000 block of Cindy Lane in Bethesda on Saturday, 3/22. The suspect is known to the victim.

Arrested: Male, age 53, from Bethesda
