Blaze Pizza Coming To Westfield Montgomery

Blaze Pizza coming soon at Westfield Montgomery

A fast growing fast casual pizzeria is coming to Westfield Montgomery Mall.

Blaze Pizza, the California-based chain expanding through franchising to virtually all parts of the U.S., will open across from the Aroma Espresso Bar near Entrance 4 to the mall.

Word in the mall is that Blaze will open in about a month. The location isn’t included on a long list of coming openings for the chain. We’ll update if we hear back from a company representative.

As for the pizza — it comes quick. All pizzas come at 11 inches with any toppings all for one price. The pizzas are cooked for 180 seconds, for a crisp crust and more soupy consistency.

The creators of Wetzel’s Pretzels — another shopping mall favorite — founded Blaze in 2012 with money from famous folks like Maria Shriver and Boston Red Sox co-owner Tom Werner. Executive chef Brad Kent is well known in Los Angeles for his Olio Pizzeria & Cafe.

The restaurants use the same assembly line format you’ll find at Chipotle, so there’s some degree of customization. The “BBQ Chkn” and “Meat Eater” are the most popular of the chain’s signature pies.

Just last week, Westfield Montgomery announced Naples 45 Ristorante e Pizzeria, a New York City-based authentic Neapolitan pizzeria and Italian restaurant, will open next to the mall’s new Dining Terrace and ArcLight Cinemas.

Blaze Pizza will be more in the area of some of the mall’s other recent food additions, including Aroma, The Cheesecake Factory and Bobby’s Burger Palace.
