Downtown Art Studios Open — Studio B, the art studio space operated by the Bethesda Urban Partnership, opens this week in the Bethesda Crescent building (7475 Wisconsin Ave.). Three local artists will be the first to work in the space, which was donated by building owner Brookfield Properties. Brookfield also gave BUP about $30,000 toward improving its “Arts Under the Avenue” exhibit in the Bethesda Metro station tunnel. Look for a full story on the studios later this week. White Flint Big Part Of Capital Budget — County Executive Isiah Leggett on Wednesday will announce a recommended $4.4 billion Capital Improvement Plan that will put $340 million toward a new street grid in White Flint and parking garage for the Bethesda North Marriott Hotel & Conference Center. Health Exchange Website Could Be Abandoned — Maryland’s glitchy health exchange website may need to be completely overhauled or abandoned, according to Joshua Sharfstein, the state’s secretary of health and mental hygiene. The first enrollment deadline is March 31. [Washington Post]
