A quick rundown of Montgomery County closings over the next two weeks:
Libraries: Closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 and will close at 6 p.m. on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31.
County liquor stores: Closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Recreation: All facilities closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Senior centers and community and neighborhood recreation centers will be closed Dec. 26-Jan.1. Contact each aquatics facility for modified schedules.
Parks: Montgomery Parks facilities will be closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. Visit the website for information on schedules at ice rinks, tennis centers, trains and carousels.
Ride On, Metrobus and Metrorail: Sunday schedule on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Trash/recycling pickup and transfer station: There will be no trash or recycling collection on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1. In both cases, pickup days will be pushed back one day with the last collection day on Saturday. The transfer station will be closed on both Christmas and New Year’s Day.
State offices and courts: Closed Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
Parking: Free at metered curbside spots, public garages and public lots on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1.
