Santa Ride Returns To Benefit Children’s Inn

Via Montgomery County PoliceSanta will be back in Woodmont Triangle on Wednesday, Dec. 18 before bringing gifts to patients at the Children’s Inn at NIH.

The annual event puts Santa in a Montgomery County Police motorcade that travels throughout the county picking up donations before a lunch at Vince & Dominics (10474 Auto Park Ave.). Santa then rides down Woodmont Avenue to Veterans Park before departing for his final destination — the Children’s Inn.

MCP officers will arrive at 5:30 p.m. and distribute gift bags and donations.

This year, Santa will ditch the motorcycle and travel in the Department’s “Bearcat,” an armored tactical vehicle.

The Children’s Inn at NIH provides residences and services for sick kids undergoing treatment at NIH and their families, many who come from across the country to the Bethesda campus.
