Silver Spring woman missing, in need of medication

WASHINGTON – Police in Montgomery County are searching for a 44-year-old Silver Spring woman they say has been missing since Thursday morning.

Police say Lisa Dieter left her home on University Boulevard East about 10:30 a.m. Thursday to go to a local store by foot. She never returned and does not have access to a vehicle.

Dieter is in need of medication and does not have it with her. Police are concerned for her welfare as well as her mental well-being.

She was last seen wearing an oversized black jacket with a fur-trimmed hood, along with a brown sweater, black jeans and white sneakers. She is about 5-foot-11 and weighs about 170 pounds. She has blue eyes, blond hair and a tattoo of a butterfly on her neck.

Anyone with information about Dieter is asked to call police at 301-279-8000.
