ROCKVILLE, Md. -- Montgomery County Police have charged a man after a bank employee was kidnapped and forced to let a robber into the branch with his keys.
Police say on Oct. 29, a man armed with a gun confronted an employee of SunTrust Bank in Rockville in a nearby garage.
Police say the robbed tied up the employee's arms and legs, forced him into the trunk of the suspect's car and drove to the bank. Officers say the robber forced the employee to use his keys to enter the bank.
The robber confronted a second employee, took money from a drawer and fled.
Police say 45-year-old Michael Patrick of Rockville was arrested Oct. 31 in Washington. Officers say he was extradited to Maryland and has been charged with armed robbery and kidnapping.
