Addie’s Could Close By End Of Month — Local restaurateur Jeff Black says the Addie’s in on Rockville Pike in North Bethesda is likely in its final days. Black’s lease on the old house (11120 Rockville Pike) is up Nov. 27 and Black claims a million-dollar renovation is needed. Black says his Black Restaurant Group is willing to help, but not unless the landlord provides a big extension to the current lease. [Washingtonian]

Whitman Girls Soccer Heads To State Semifinal — The Walt Whitman girls soccer team beat Wootton, 3-0, on Tuesday to win the region for the first time since 2005. On Saturday at Richard Montgomery High School, the team will face South River at 2:30 p.m. for a berth in the state 4A championship game and a chance at its first title since 2004. [The Gazette]

O’Malley In Favor Of Raising Minimum Wage — Gov. Martin O’Malley (D) is in favor of raising the state’s minimum wage from the federally mandated $7.25 an hour it’s at now. How much O’Malley will hope to increase it by in his final year as governor is unknown. Some in the state will again push for a $10 an hour state minimum wage in this year’s General Assembly.
