Weekly Crime Report: Sept. 30 to Oct. 8

Someone tried to use fake cash at the Dave & Busters in White Flint Mall. The suspect was apparently caught in the act before running out of the place:

An incident of fraud occurred at Dave & Busters located at 11301 Rockville Pike in Kensington on Sunday, 10/6 at approximately 4:00 p.m. The suspects attempted to pass counterfeit money then fled.

Suspect: B/M, heavy build

A residential burglary occurred in the 7800 block of Westfield Drive in Bethesda sometime between Wednesday, 10/2 and Thursday, 10/3. No forced entry; property taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred in the 9600 block of Eagle Ridge Drive in Bethesda overnight between Wednesday, 10/2 and Thursday, 10/3. No forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 10400 block of Drumm Avenue in Kensington overnight between Wednesday, 10/2 and Thursday, 10/3. No forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred in the 4500 block of Middleton Lane in Bethesda sometime overnight between Sunday, 10/6 and Monday, 10/7. No forced entry; property taken.

Four theft from vehicle incidents occurred overnight between Friday, 10/4 and Saturday, 10/5 to unsecured vehicles on both Pinehurst Parkway and Western Avenue in Chevy Chase. Sports gear and a change purse taken.
