Heineman, who also owns Freddy’s Lobster next door, said the new menu is concise and fairly priced.
The fine dining atmosphere and accompanying prices have played well for happy hour and dinner patrons. But since the restaurant opened in 2000, Heineman has often tinkered with lunch service.
Grapeseed (4865 Cordell Ave.) will reopen for lunch on Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 11:30 a.m. Lunch will run until 2 p.m. Tuesday-Friday.
The new lunch menu features a number of Grapeseed favorites — calamari, polenta and crab cake to name a few. There will also be three “appetizer as entree” offerings: A big bowl of chili with extra corn muffins, a mixed green or caesar salad with chicken or shrimp and a big bowl of mussels with fries.
Hamburgers range from $10.99 to $14.99. Main dishes include grilled swordfish and Israeli couscos for $13.99 and a “In a Hurry Shrimp Sautre,” a point of shrimp with steamed rice for $12.99.
Heineman is kicking things off with a 50 percent off deal on the main courses next Wednesday through Friday. Reservations are advised.
