Bethesda Gym Offers Free Training For Furloughed Workers

Irons FitnessIt’s been eight days since the federal government shut down, meaning furloughs for many of Montgomery County’s estimated 70,000 federal workers and probably a lot of sitting around.

Irons Fitness, the gym at 7700 Wisconsin Ave. from personal trainer Nick Irons, is offering free training sessions to furloughed federal employees, military or government contractors.

“We want to help in the best way we know possible, by giving the gift of fitness,” Irons said.

The deal, like many of the restaurant and food furlough deals around town, is good until the shutdown is over.

The gym puts a heavy emphasis on its personal training staff and has been voted among Bethesda’s top new gyms in Bethesda Magazine’s annual “Best Of” feature.

Call the studio, in the Bethesda Place courtyard, at 301-530-9236 to schedule a session.
