Firefighters will take to Montgomery County’s tallest building in October to honor the memory of the 343 firefighters and 71 law enforcement officers who died at the World Trade Center on 9/11.

The 3rd Annual Montgomery County 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is set for 9 a.m. on Oct. 12 at the North Bethesda Market Tower at 11418 Rockville Pike.

The International Association of Fire Fighters will host the event. Montgomery County firefighters will walk all the stairs of the 289-foot tall apartment building in full gear.

The $25 registration fee will go to the IAFF. The stair climb is one of many across the country to honor first responders who died on 9/11.

The climb is open to friends and family of firefighters and police and civilians, who are welcome to climb the stairs in shorts or workout attire.

Check the registration page or Facebook page for more info.
