Weekly Crime Report: Aug. 5 to Aug. 13

Police arrested two men from Rockville they say stole jewelry and cash from a car in East Bethesda:

A theft from vehicle occurred on Tuesday, 8/06 at 3:13 a.m. in the 8200 block of Kentbury Drive in Bethesda. Jewelry and cash taken.

Arrested:Male, age 18, from Rockville; Male, age 22, from Rockville

A few theft from car victims near Friendship Village weren’t as lucky:

Three thefts from vehicles occurred in the area of Willard Avenue and North Park Avenue in Bethesda between Tuesday, 8/6 and Monday, 8/12. Entry was forced in all three incidents and laptops, money, phones and id were taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred overnight Wednesday, 8/07 to Thursday, 8/08 in the 100 block of Quincy Street in Chevy Chase. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

A sex assault occurred on Friday, 8/09 at 12:10 a.m. at Karin’s Deli, located at 1 Wisconsin Circle in Bethesda. The suspect inappropriately touched the victim.

An attempted commercial burglary occurred overnight Friday, 8/09 to Saturday, 8/10 at Tia Queta, 4839 Del Ray Avenue in Bethesda. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

An attempted residential burglary occurred on Thursday, 8/08 between 4:45 and 6:40 p.m. in the 11100 block of Cedarwood Drive in North Bethesda. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred to a storage unit in the 5400 block of Tuckerman Lane in North Bethesda between Sunday, 8/11 and Tuesday, 8/13. Forced entry; nothing taken.

A commercial burglary occurred between Wednesday, 8/07 and Thursday, 8/08 at Carr Properties located at 5454 Wisconsin Avenue in Chevy Chase. Forced entry; property taken.

A residential burglary occurred from a shed in the 5200 block of Worthington Drive in Bethesda overnight from Tuesday, 8/06 to Wednesday, 8/07. Property taken.

Graffiti was discovered on Wednesday, 8/07 on a sign at the intersection of Montgomery Avenue and Keokuk Street in Bethesda.

A commercial burglary occurred overnight from Tuesday, 8/06 to Wednesday, 8/07 at the American Plant Co., 7405 River Road in Bethesda. Forced entry; property damaged.

An attempted residential burglary on Monday, 8/05 between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. in the 4900 block of Battery Lane in Bethesda. Attempted forced entry; nothing taken.

A residential burglary occurred on Sunday, 8/11 at 6:46 a.m. in the 5600 block of Folkstone Road in Bethesda. No further information is available at this time.

A residential burglary occurred on Sunday, 8/11 at 9:46 p.m. in the 9900 block of Mayfair Drive in Bethesda. No further information is available at this time.

A theft occurred at Montgomery Mall in Bethesda on Sunday, 8/11 at 3:45 p.m. Wallet taken from a purse.
