WASHINGTON – Three members of the same family, including a small child, were killed in a three-vehicle collision in Aspen Hill Sunday.

Montgomery County police say Felipe Pineda, 50, and his niece, Elizabeth Lemus, 4, both of Wheaton, were killed in the crash, which happened at 9:47 p.m. Sunday at Georgia Avenue and Kayson Street.

Salvador Lemus Ramos, 39, of Wheaton, who is the father of the little girl, died later from his injuries, police say.

Four other adults involved in the crash, including Elba Pineda, the girl’s mother, were taken to hospitals.

Felipe Pineda, Elizabeth Lemus, Salvador Lemus Ramos and Elba Pineda were all ejected from the Nissan.
