A car and Ride On bus collided shortly after 3:30 p.m. on Wisconsin Avenue near Woodmont Avenue, causing northbound traffic to backup into downtown Bethesda just as the afternoon rush hour started.
The sedan appeared to get stuck to the bus as both vehicles were turning north onto Wisconsin Avenue from Woodmont Avenue. The driver of the car remained in the vehicle.
Nobody appeared to be injured and the bus was empty.
The accident blocked the two right lanes of Wisconsin Avenue traffic at Terrace Garden Way.
