WASHINGTON – Police are investigating the death of a Wheaton woman found dead in the stairwell of her apartment around 3:30 a.m. Saturday.
Montgomery County Police found Marcello Rocio Nikaury, 37, after receiving a report of a domestic assault.
Nikaury’s boyfriend Matire Puente-Fulcar, 31,.lived in the apartment with her and three children and has been named a suspect.
Detectives have obtained an arrest warrant for Puente-Fulcar that charges him with first-degree murder.
Puente-Fulcar is described as 6 feet, 1 inch tall, weighing 190 pounds and having short black hair. He was last seen wearing an orange shirt and tan pants. Police say he may be driving a black Ford Edge with a Maryland temporary plate T558404.
