Missing Glenmont man found

UPDATE: Rafael Ramos was found early Thursday morning about 3 miles from his home. He had been without his medication and was taken to the hospital, but is expected to be fine.

WASHINGTON – Police are seeking the public’s assistance in finding a missing Glenmont man.

Rafael Ramos, 71, was last seen around 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 15 in the 2200 block of Glenallan Ave. in Glenmont. He had been visiting his son.

Ramos suffers from dementia and diabetes and is in need of medication. He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a white T-shirt, brown pants and sandals.

Police say Ramos frequents the Glenmont Metro Station and the Glenmont Shopping Center, specifically the Shoppers Food Warehouse.

Anyone with information about Ramos’ whereabouts or who comes into contact with him is asked to call the 4th District Investigative Section at 240.773.5530.
