Dominant Madrid beats Osasuna 2-0 in Copa del Rey

MADRID (AP) -- Karim Benzema and Jese Rodriguez scored to lead Real Madrid over Osasuna 2-0 Thursday night in the first leg of the fifth round of the Copa del Rey.

Benzema headed in Luka Modric's free kick in the 19th minute and combined with Cristiano Ronaldo to set up Jese for a goal in the 60th. Ronaldo failed to convert several scoring opportunities.

The second leg of the total-goals series is Wednesday at Pamplona.

Real Sociedad played to a 0-0 tie with Villarreal, and Rayo Vallecano and Levante also were scoreless.
