WASHINGTON - The Washington Nationals' grounds crew may have taken a page out of the Redskins' playbook when they tackled the Racing Presidents during Sunday evening's game.
The grounds crew interrupted the race as the Nationals took on the New York Mets Sunday. The crew collided into the presidents in the final stretch -- the latest in a history of mid-race attacks.
It wasn't enough to keep Theodore Roosevelt — "Teddy" — down. He dove head-first over the finish line to win the race. The win marks Teddy's ninth so far this season.
The Nationals went on to beat the Mets 6-5.
