Diamondbacks activate OF Trumbo from DL

SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — The Arizona Diamondbacks activated outfielder Mark Trumbo from the disabled list and put the slugger into their lineup for Friday night’s game against the San Francisco Giants.

Sidelined with a stress fracture in his left foot since April 21, Trumbo was batting fifth and playing left field.

Trumbo batted .458 with five home runs and 12 RBIs in seven rehab games.

To make room, the Diamondbacks optioned outfielder Roger Kieschnick to Triple-A Reno.
