WASHINGTON - Washington Nationals outfielder Bryce Harper is no longer a rookie, but he's still reaching franchise milestones.
Harper will be only the second Nats player ever featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated when the magazine's Feb. 25 issue hits newsstands on Wednesday. Pitcher Stephen Strasburg graced the front page in 2010.

Inside Sports Illustrated says writer Tom Verducci's piece in the issue will focus on what Harper, the reigning NL Rookie of the Year, hopes to accomplish during his second season in the majors and whether he can avoid a sophomore slump.
And while making the cover may be a big deal for the Nats, it's old hat for Harper: He also appeared on it in 2009 with the headline, "Baseball's Chosen One."
