SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Tiger Woods has won at Torrey Pines for the eighth time, and the seventh time in the Farmers Insurance Open. Woods closed with an even-par 72 for a 14-under total, four strokes ahead of Josh Teater and defending champion Brandt Snedeker. Woods is seven victories away from tying Sam Snead for the all-time record of 82 Tour wins.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) -- The Ravens have arrived in New Orleans after thousands of fans turned out to Baltimore's Inner Harbor this morning to send the team off to their second Super Bowl. Retiring linebacker Ray Lewis, coach John Harbaugh and Ed Reed were among the Ravens who spoke to the crowd before the team got on buses and headed to the airport to fly to New Orleans for Sunday's game. The Ravens take on the San Francisco 49ers, who arrived in the Big Easy yesterday.

UNDATED (AP) -- Michigan is No. 1 in the AP college basketball poll for the first time since the start of the 1992-93 season. The Wolverines received 51 first-place votes, while second-ranked Kansas claimed 13. Third-ranked Indiana is followed by Florida and Duke, which was No. 1 last week before a lopsided loss at Miami.

TORONTO (AP) -- The Golden State Warriors have center Andrew Bogut (BOH'-guht) back in the starting lineup for tonight's game against the Raptors in Toronto, his first action since Nov. 7. Bogut underwent left ankle surgery in April and played in four of Golden State's first five games this season before announcing he was taking time off to strengthen his ankle.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers have formally announced a deal with Time Warner Cable to create a new TV channel. People familiar with the situation say the deal assures the team more than $7 billion over 25 years, double what Major League Baseball thought the local TV rights were worth when the team was sold out of bankruptcy just last year.
