Braves add another Upton...Stan The Man remembered...Snedeker goes low

PHOENIX (AP) -- Justin Upton is joining older brother B.J. Upton in Atlanta. The 25-year-old outfielder has been traded to the Braves in a seven-player deal with Arizona. Former All-Star infielder Martin Prado (mar-TEEN' PRAH'-doh) joins the Diamondbacks.

ST. LOUIS (AP) -- Thousands of fans made their way through the bitter cold in St. Louis for Stan Musial's public visitation. The 24-time All-Star was a beloved figure in his adopted hometown a half-century after his Hall of Fame career with the Cardinals ended. Musial died Saturday at the age of 92.

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- A strong field is on hand at Torrey Pines, where round one of the Farmers Insurance Open is being played today on the North and South courses. Defending champion Brandt Snedeker has the clubhouse lead by two shots after signing for a 7-under-par 65. Phil Mickelson carded an even-par 72.

HUNTERSVILLE, N.C. (AP) -- Veteran driver Kyle Busch says he considered two other ownership groups before signing a long-term contract extension with Joe Gibbs Racing. Busch is a 24-time winner in NASCAR's top circuit.

MELBOURNE, Australia (AP) -- The second and third-ranked players in the world will square off in the second men's semifinal at the Australian Open (Not before 3:30 a.m. Eastern). Roger Federer meets Andy Murray for the right to face top-seeded Novak Djokovic (NOH'-vak JOH'-kuh-vich), who beat fourth-seeded David Ferrer (feh-REHR') to reach the championship match.
