OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- The Oakland Athletics agreed to one-year contracts with left-handed pitcher Jerry Blevins and first baseman Brandon Moss on Friday, avoiding salary arbitration with each.

The AL West champion A's completed deals with all of their arbitration-eligible players.

Blevins will earn $1.1 million this season, a nice raise from his $490,000 salary in 2012. Moss, too, receives a significant boost. He will make $1.6 million after earning $480,000 last season with Oakland, which finished the year with the lowest payroll in baseball at $59.5 million.

Blevins finished 5-1 with a 2.48 ERA last season. The 29-year-old reliever has a 3.35 ERA in 214 career games, including career highs in wins, innings pitched (65 1-3) and strikeouts (54) in 2012.

Moss joined the A's in June and batted .291 with 21 home runs and 52 RBIs in just 84 games. The 29-year-old spent parts of five seasons in the majors with Boston (2007-08), Pittsburgh (2008-10) and Philadelphia (2011) before having his breakthrough season with Oakland last year. He had just 15 home runs and 78 RBIs before the season.
