ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (AP) -- Two longtime AFC East rivals will be going head to head tonight when Buffalo hosts Miami. The hometown Bills are 3-6 while the Dolphins sport a 4-5 record. Both teams are coming off losses last week.

ROSEMONT, Ill. (AP) -- Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig says he is aware of the anger in South Florida after the Marlins' salary dump and says he is examining the pending blockbuster trade between Miami and the Toronto Blue Jays. Fans are seeing it as a bait-and-switch maneuver by team owner Jeffrey Loria after just moving his club into a new publicly financed ballpark.

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) -- A person with knowledge of the deal says the banged-up Timberwolves have agreed to terms on a one-year contract with 32-year-old free agent Josh Howard, pending a physical. Six of Minnesota's top seven players missed last night's loss to Charlotte due to injury.

TORONTO (AP) -- The Raptors have learned that Kyle Lowry will be sidelined another week or two after being diagnosed with a bruised bone in his right foot. Toronto's top point guard sat out the club's last four games after averaging 18.3 points and 6.3 assists through the first four outings of the season.

UNDATED (AP) -- Today's Top 25 college basketball schedule got off to an early start with an afternoon game in Charleston, S.C., pitting No. 16 Baylor against Boston College. Top-ranked Indiana hosts Sam Houston State this evening while No. 2 Louisville entertains Samford.
