PITTSBURGH (AP) -- It turns out Ben Roethlisberger (RAWTH'-lihs-bur-gur) has more to worry about than a sprained right shoulder. The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback says he also dislocated a rib during Monday night's win against Kansas City -- and he says doctors are concerned the rib could cut into his aorta. He'll be replaced by backup Byron Leftwich for Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens.
FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) -- New York Jets coach Rex Ryan is chewing out players who made anonymous statements to the New York Daily News ripping Tim Tebow. Ryan calls it "cowardly" and says he has no respect for players who say things to the media without putting their names to their comments.
DETROIT (AP) -- A person with knowledge of the negotiations says free agent outfielder Torii Hunter has agreed to a two-year deal with the Detroit Tigers, pending a physical. The 37-year-old Hunter hit a career-best .313 last season for the Los Angeles Angels.
UNDATED (AP) -- Ten games are on tonight's NBA schedule, including 6-2 Oklahoma City hosting 5-1 Memphis and 6-2 Miami at the L.A. Clippers. Detroit and Washington will be looking for their first wins of the season. The Pistons are at Philadelphia and the Wizards are in Dallas.
UNDATED (AP) -- There are two men's college basketball games tonight featuring top-25 teams. No. 10 Florida takes on No. 22 Wisconsin and No. 15 Creighton faces Alabama-Birmingham. The women's schedule has five games involving top-25 teams, including No. 9 Penn State at No. 16 Texas A&M.
