TUSCALOOSA, Ala. (AP) -- There's been a huge upset in college football that has jumbled the national title picture. The 15th-ranked Texas A&M Aggies upset top-ranked Alabama 29-24 as Aggies quarterback Johnny Manziel passed for 253 yards and rushed for 92 and led the Aggies to a 20-0 first quarter lead that they never lost.

FORT WORTH, Texas (AP)-- Third-ranked Kansas State kept its national championship hopes alive by improving to 10-0 by beating TCU 23-10. Collin Klein ran for two touchdowns as the Wildcats reached 10-0 for the second time under coach Bill Snyder.

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- The Los Angeles Lakers spoke to 11-time NBA champion coach Phil Jackson on Saturday about returning for a third stint on their bench and say they will meet with Jackson next week. The Lakers fired coach Mike Brown on Friday after a 1-4 start and now are looking at Jackson, who won five titles in 11 seasons with the Lakers.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Washington Nationals are bringing back Davey Johnson for one more season as their manager. At 70 years old, Johnson will be the oldest manager in the majors in 2013 after guiding the Nats to a major league-high 98 wins and their first NL East title last season that gives him a good shot at winning NL manager of the year to be announced Tuesday.

SAN DIEGO (AP) -- After being postponed Friday night because of inclement weather in San Diego harbor, ninth-ranked Syracuse and 20th-ranked San Diego State will try again Sunday afternoon when they meet on the flight deck of a decommissioned aircraft carrier. The forecast for Sunday is clear skies and less breezy for college basketball's version of the Battle of the Midway.
