BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (AP) -- Montee (MAHN'-tee) Ball scored three touchdowns in Wisconsin's 62-14 rout at Indiana, passing former Texas star Ricky Williams for second place on the FBS career list with 77 TDs. He's one shy of the mark set by Miami of Ohio's Travis Prentice in the late 90s.

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) -- The Los Angeles Dodgers are willing to give up big bucks to sign pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin. The Hanwha Eagles of the Korea Baseball Organization say they have accepted a posting fee of $25.7 million from the Dodgers, who have a 30-day window in which to ink the 25-year-old left-hander, who was 98-52 with a 2.80 career ERA during seven seasons in South Korea.

NEW YORK (AP) -- A day after negotiations turned sour, representatives on both sides of the NHL labor dispute are meeting in an informal setting in New York. This is Day 56 of the lockout.

AVONDALE, Ariz. (AP) -- Joey Logano has captured the pole for today's Nationwide series race at Phoenix International Raceway. Kyle Busch was second fastest, a day after setting a track record in Sprint Cup qualifying.

MONTREAL (AP) -- Playing minor league hockey during the NHL lockout can be hazardous to one's health. Montreal forward Blake Geoffrion remains in the hospital after taking a hit last night while playing for the team's AHL affiliate. The Canadiens say he underwent surgery for treatment of a depressed skull fracture and is expected to make a full recovery.
