Two Md. children safe after Amber Alert issued

WASHINGTON — Two young Maryland children are safe after police say their mother took them amid a fight with her boyfriend and threatened to drive off the Delaware Bridge.

Tiamarie Valenzuela, 27, took her children, ages 1 and 2, shortly before 3 p.m. Tuesday, the Anne Arundel County police say. An Amber Alert was issued; it was lifted around 9.

T.J. Smith, of the Anne Arundel County police, says that Valenzuela and her children were found in New Castle, Del. He wouldn’t release any other information, but said “they weren’t found in any type of situation that was threatening.”

Officers were called to the 800 block of Vacation Drive, in Odenton, for a report of domestic violence at 3:06 p.m. Tuesday, according to an Anne Arundel County news release.

A man at the home told them he had fought with his girlfriend, Valenzuela, and told her to leave the home. She “keyed” his car before leaving with her two young children in her car.

The children are Gabriano Lloyd, 2, and Gia Lloyd, 1.
